My professional evolution – starting with print to web to user experience and motion design – has given me the design expertise to not only produce beautiful visual concepts but to also listen to and understand the needs of the end-user.
Empathising with our users to create excellent HCD is at the heart of what I do.
Over the years I’ve worked on design briefs as varied as email newsletters for DJ’s to media players seen by millions of viewers catching up on their favourite soap, to designing an online Diploma Course. From working in large media corporates in the metropolis that is London to a small boutique eco-farm in the French Alps. Recently being based in the depths of Africa developing the brand essence and online identity for an elephant charity.

I spent 8 years at ITV, where I started out designing visually engaging backgrounds for ITV's biggest show sites (I'm a Celebrity..., Downton Abbey, Dancing on Ice, The X Factor, etc.) and commercial takeovers.
I worked closely with the UX team to reimagine ITV.com, show, sport and corporate websites. It was my responsibility to devise pixel-perfect PSD templates and guidelines for internal teams & external companies to build.
When ITV rebranded in 2012 I supported the ITV Creative Team by stress-testing new branding on all platforms. It was also my responsibility to hire, manage and mentor the Visual Design team and work with agencies to create mobile & tablet applications.

I was promoted to Senior UX Designer in 2013 and was the Lead Designer on the ITV Player mobile application (IOS & Android), working closely with an external agency for the build. The app topped the charts beating all other channels players including the BBC & Netflix!
Then in 2015, I oversaw its transformation from ITV Player into ITV Hub across all three platforms – Browser, Mobile & Connected TV.
In 2016 when ITV launched its ad-free subscription model Hub+ (Stripe for payment) I was the UX and Design lead. I was also responsible for hiring and mentoring a Junior Designer to produce high-quality promotional imagery across The Hub.

In 2019 I moved to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe with my family, where we lived in the bush working at elephantCREW.
We spent 3 years there – throughout the pandemic – where I was the social media voice for the elephants. I recently completed a rebrand for them (previously ZEWACT) and designed and built their site on squarespace.com.
As the sole person responsible for social media, I would ideate content ideas, shoot footage, create motion graphics, edit footage, write captions and schedule Instagram and Facebook posts using Later.com.
Over the years I’ve also designed all of the printed media, uniforms, signs & ‘Through the Eyes of an Elephant’ presentation.
The Progress Report will help to explain some of our accomplishments towards conservation over the past few years.
